Last week we had a meeting to discuss the absurd amount of meetings our organization tends to schedule. Sometimes I feel like I'm strapped to a never ending merry-go-round run by some sadistic guy that doesn't own a watch.
Yes, I agree that face-to-face interaction is an important aspect of building working relationships and a more effective means of relaying an important message. The problem may be that, here, everything is a priority and thus, by it's "prioritarian" (yes, that's probably not a word) nature, demands to be met upon.
I know I really shouldn't complain. I'm sure the guy who spends ten hours a day trimming trees or swinging a hammer in the summer heat might think that sitting in an air cooled office is a pretty good gig. It is. I suppose this little rant isn't really about being stuck on a conference call. It's probably more about not being aloud to take my phone off of mute.
